About the Shaykh

Born in Houston and raised in Detroit, Shaykh Abdul Hakim brings a wealth of experience and dedication to serving the Muslim community. He completed the memorization of the Qur'an (Hafiz) and holds a Master's in Islamic Shariah and Arabic Studies with a specialization in the 10 Modes of Qur'anic Recitation (Sab'ah & Thalaathah) from Madrasah Arabia Islamia in Azaadville, South Africa.

Shaykh Abdul Hakim has served as Imam in Florida, Louisiana, San Antonio, and Austin — providing spiritual guidance, interfaith outreach, and counseling services across diverse communities.

As the former National Director of Development for Basmah USA, he led humanitarian relief initiatives for Rohingya Muslims, demonstrating his commitment to justice and community welfare beyond the classroom.

He is currently pursuing studies in Psychology and Counseling, further expanding his ability to serve the community through holistic guidance rooted in both Islamic scholarship and modern therapeutic practice.
